Return and Refund Policy
This Return and Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through Bamboostan.com, operated by Machau Bamboo Products Private Limited. For the purposes of this Policy, “Business Days” refer to Monday through Saturday, excluding national holidays declared by the Government of India. Returns are accepted strictly for issues such as physical damage, manufacturing defects, missing items, or if an incorrect product has been delivered. The customer must raise a return request within ten (10) days of delivery and provide clear photo or video evidence as required for verification.
To qualify for a return, the product must remain unused and be returned in its original condition, including all packaging materials, MRP tag, labels, accessories, and protective coverings. Items showing signs of use, tampering, or customer-induced damage will not be accepted. Free gifts, promotional items, and freebies received as part of an offer must also be returned unused; failing to return these will result in the deduction of their full MRP from the refund.
If only part of an order is returned, the Company will recalculate all promotional benefits, including discounts, combo pricing, free gifts, and free shipping eligibility. If the return causes the retained value of the order to fall below ₹500, the original shipping fee will be deducted from the refund. If the return invalidates any offer, the difference between the promotional price and the standard price will also be deducted from the refund.
Refunds for approved returns will be processed to the original payment method only. Timelines depend on the customer’s bank or payment provider. Exchanges are not offered under any circumstance. Intimate wear items, including socks, are strictly non-returnable. Orders may be cancelled only before dispatch; once shipped, cancellation is not possible.
The Company reserves the right to reject returns, deny service, or restrict future orders in cases of suspected misuse, fraudulent behavior, or repeated policy violations. Orders may be cancelled only before they have been dispatched from our warehouse. Once the order has been packed or shipped, cancellation is no longer possible, and the customer must wait for the product to be delivered. After delivery, the customer may place a return request only if the item meets the eligibility criteria described in our Return & Refund Policy. Cancellation requests submitted after dispatch will not be accepted under any circumstance.
To request a cancellation before dispatch, the customer must email info@machau.in with the order number and registered contact details. The Company will review the status of the order and confirm whether the cancellation is possible. If the cancellation request is approved, a full refund will be issued to the original method of payment. Refund timelines may vary based on the customer’s bank or payment provider.
The Company reserves the right to cancel any order at its sole discretion due to reasons including, but not limited to, payment failure, incomplete or inaccurate address, order verification issues, product unavailability, typographical errors, system malfunctions, or any suspicion of fraudulent or abusive activity. In such cases, the customer will be notified via email, and the applicable amount will be refunded to the original payment method.
If an order cannot be delivered due to incorrect address provided by the customer, repeated failed delivery attempts, or customer unavailability, the order may be cancelled by the logistics partner or the Company. In such cases, the refund will be processed after deducting shipping, handling, and return logistics charges, if applicable.
The Company is not liable for delays in processing cancellation requests arising from events beyond its control, including technical issues, network failures, courier delays, or Force Majeure Events. Customers are encouraged to double-check address details, product details, and cart contents before placing an order to avoid the need for cancellations.

PROMOTIONS, DISCOUNTS & FREEBIES POLICY
This Promotions, Discounts & Freebies Policy applies to all offers, discounts, bundles, deals, quantity-based pricing, seasonal promotions, coupon codes, and free gifts (“Promotional Benefits”) offered on Bamboostan.com, operated by Machau Bamboo Products Private Limited. By participating in any promotion on the website, the customer agrees to the terms outlined below. All references to Business Days mean Monday through Saturday, excluding national holidays declared by the Government of India.
The Company may offer Promotional Benefits from time to time, and these benefits are always conditional upon the customer meeting all eligibility criteria specified for the promotion. If a customer returns only part of an order that originally qualified for a promotional offer, the Company reserves the right to revoke the Promotional Benefits and recalculate the refund based on the items the customer chooses to retain. In such cases, the refund amount will be adjusted by deducting the value of the promotional benefit availed, including but not limited to free items, discount amounts, free-shipping benefits, special bundle or combo pricing, or quantity-based discounts. If a free gift or freebie was included in the order, it must be returned unused and in its original condition along with the return shipment; failure to return such items will result in deduction of their full MRP from the refund.
Promotional Benefits that are tied to a minimum order value, minimum quantity, or specific combinations of products will automatically become void if the return causes the order to fall below the qualifying threshold. If a return reduces the net order value below ₹500, the original shipping fee will also be deducted from the refund. Similarly, if a customer applies a coupon code or discount that is valid only above a certain cart value, and the return reduces the value below that threshold, the discount will be reversed and adjusted accordingly.
Temporary offers, festival promotions, and limited-time deals are applicable only during the promotional period. Once the promotional period expires, customers cannot claim the benefit retroactively, even if the order was placed shortly before or after. The Company may modify, suspend, or terminate Promotions or Promotional Benefits at any time without prior notice. Offers cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, or other products, and free gifts or promotional items are not eligible for exchange or replacement under any circumstance.
Misuse of promotions, including but not limited to coupon misuse, creating multiple accounts, placing repeated return-based orders, or abusing free gifts, may result in the Company rejecting returns, blocking accounts, or restricting future orders. All decisions regarding the eligibility of a customer for any Promotional Benefit, refund adjustments, or deductions shall be made solely at the discretion of the Company and shall be considered final and binding.
