Caring for bamboo
Wipe, don't soak
Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Avoid leaving bamboo submerged or in standing water.
Dry fully
Let it air-dry completely before storing. Keep it out of prolonged direct sun and away from radiators.
Oil occasionally
A light wipe of food-safe oil now and then keeps bamboo nourished and looking new.
Caring for cork
Damp wipe only
Cork is naturally antimicrobial — a damp cloth is usually all it needs. Skip harsh chemicals.
Air it out
After a sweaty session, let cork props air-dry. No machine washing, no soaking.
Store dry & flat
Keep cork mats and blocks somewhere dry and out of direct heat to hold their shape.
The general rule
Bamboo and cork are natural materials, so they like the same things you do — kept clean, dried off, and out of extreme heat. Treat them gently and they'll outlast their plastic and foam counterparts by years.
