Bamboostan is a brand of Machau Bamboo Products Pvt Ltd (MBPPL), based in Guwahati, Assam, India. This policy covers personal information we handle through bamboostan.com. We collect only what we need to run the store well, and we never sell your personal data.

Delivery details — shipping and billing addresses.
Order information — items purchased, order value, and order history.
Communications — messages you send us by email, WhatsApp, or phone, and our replies.
Device & usage data — device type, browser, IP address, and how you navigate the site, collected through cookies and analytics tools.

Payments are processed by our payment partners. We do not store your full card details on our own systems.

To process, fulfil, and deliver your orders, and to keep you updated on them.
To provide customer support and respond to your queries.
To improve our products, website, and overall shopping experience.
To send you marketing updates where you have consented, which you can opt out of at any time.
To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and to prevent fraud.

3. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with parties that help us run the store, and only to the extent needed:

Courier and logistics partners, to deliver your orders.
Payment processors, to handle transactions securely.
Analytics and marketing tools, to understand how the site is used and to communicate with you.
Advertising platforms (such as Meta and Google), for ad measurement, remarketing and audience matching — where contact details are used for matching, they are shared in hashed form only. Hashing transforms contact details for matching; it does not make them anonymous.
Authorities or advisors where we are required to by law, or to protect our rights.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and improve performance. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well without them.

Advertising and your choices

We use Meta pixels and server-side events on public shopping pages. Meta may collect or receive browser information and shopping activity from this website and elsewhere on the internet, and use it to measure, target and deliver ads. Where available, we also share a browser identifier, customer identifier and hashed email or phone details for matching.

For ChatGPT ad measurement, we send eligible ad-click identifiers and purchase details from our warehouse to OpenAI. We do not send your email, phone number or address through this integration, and we respect your saved advertising opt-out and browser privacy signals.

We may recognise a previously verified customer on this browser for up to 180 days from verification, including after a sign-in session expires. Signing out clears that recognition. This does not provide access to your account, and account and order pages are excluded from this matching.

Use Ad preferences in the website footer to turn additional browser and customer matching on or off. We respect previously saved refusals. Where prior permission is required, this additional matching waits for your choice. You can also manage advertising through Meta Ad preferences and industry advertising choices, or block cookies through your browser. The website preference controls additional identifiers; it does not turn off all basic measurement or third-party advertising.

5. Data retention

We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it — to fulfil your orders, provide support, and meet legal and accounting requirements. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can withdraw consent to marketing at any time. To make a request, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to address any issues promptly.
