Why people carry it

A mug shaped like the commute.

The chai commute

Pour the morning chai before leaving home. Sip it on the metro, the rickshaw, the office walk. The lid stays clean; the chai stays warm.

Coffee at the desk

Holds the morning coffee at temperature past the first meeting. Bamboo handle stays cool; steel inside doesn't taint the brew.

Fits the car cup holder

Sized to fit standard car cup holders and most backpack pockets. Made to ride.

The reusable replacement

One mug replaces a daily café paper cup, the office disposable, the airport throwaway. Bring it; refill it; carry on.

Built well

Three things make it work.

01

Bamboo outside, steel inside

The exterior is real bamboo — warm in the hand, never icy on cold mornings. The interior is food-grade stainless steel — that's what your drink touches. Flavour stays clean; coffee doesn't pick up a previous tea.

02

Real handle

Most travel mugs ditch the handle for a sleeve grip. This one keeps the handle — easier to hold for long sips, more like an actual mug than a flask.

03

Sliding sip lid

Lid slides open for the sip and slides shut between sips. Keeps the mug travel-friendly without forcing you to unscrew anything.

Quick answers

Before you decide.

How long does it stay hot?

Around 4 hours. Less than the [[Bamboo Bottle]] (12 hours) or [[Bamboo Vacuum Flask]] (24 hours) because the sliding sip lid trades some seal-tightness for sipping convenience. Designed for the commute and the office, not for trekking.

Mug or flask — which one for me?

If you sip frequently and want a real handle (more like an actual mug): this. If you want maximum hot-hold for travel or trekking: the [[Bamboo Vacuum Flask]] is built for that. If you want a screw-cap bottle that holds 12 hours: the [[Bamboo Bottle]] is the middle ground.

Does it fit a car cup holder?

Yes — sized to fit standard car cup holders and most backpack pockets.

Will it leak in a bag?

The sliding sip lid is built for sipping rather than total seal — keep it upright in the bag, and it's fine for normal commute use. For a bag-tossable seal, the [[Bamboo Bottle]] or [[Bamboo Vacuum Flask]] is the better fit.

Hot drinks only, or cold too?

Both — works for hot tea or coffee, also for cold drinks and iced coffee. The double-wall structure keeps either at temperature for around 4 hours.

How do I clean it?

Hand-wash the steel interior with mild soap — a long-handled brush helps reach the bottom. Wipe the bamboo exterior with a damp cloth; don't soak. Dry fully before storage.
