Where it fits your day
Bedroom corner
Sits like furniture, not a chore
In the bedroom, a plastic hamper is a chore you have to look at. This one settles into the corner like a low side piece — warm bamboo beside a wooden bed, lid down so the day's clothes stay out of sight. When it's full, carry it to the machine by the rope handles and slide it back empty.
Bathroom & ensuite
Towels in, lid closed, no warping
After a shower, towels and the day's wash go straight in and the lid closes over them. Bamboo takes bathroom humidity without warping, and the washable liner soaks up the damp so the basket itself stays fresh. Keep it a step back from the shower spray and it lives here happily for years.
Utility & laundry room
A week's load, lid still closing
In the utility corner it does the unglamorous work: about six kilos, roughly a week of one person's clothes, held with the lid still shutting. When wash day comes, lift the whole fabric liner out by its folded rim, tip it into the machine, and drop the empty liner back over the edge.
The blanket basket
Off-season throws and spare blankets fold straight in, lid down. The liner keeps wool off the bamboo, and the corner reads as a piece, not as storage.
The toy hamper
At day's end, soft toys and blocks go in and the lid hides the lot. Light enough that a child can drag it back to its corner each night.
The spare-linen store
Keep fresh towels and spare sheets by the bathroom shelf. Lid on, the linen stays dust-free; lift it out by the rope handles whenever you restock.
A laundry basket that doesn't hide.
The bedroom corner
Sits as a piece of the room, not as a chore reminder. Bamboo body reads warm next to a wooden bed; the lid keeps the inside out of sight.
Bathroom or laundry room
Holds towels, daily wash, weekly load. 60 cm tall is sized for a household of two; 6 kg holds about a week's worth of one person's clothes.
Lined & lidded
Removable fabric liner means no clothes-to-bamboo contact. Take the liner out for the wash, slide it back in. The lid keeps the inside private.
Carry, lift, refill
Light enough to carry from bedroom to washing machine when full. Side openings let you grip it without crushing the lid.
