Quick answers

Before you decide.

What are the placemats made of?

Each mat is hand-loomed from hundreds of fine natural bamboo reeds, cross-woven with contrasting black and golden binding threads for a richly textured, durable finish that's easy to wipe clean.

How many mats come in a pack?

Every order is a set of six identical mats in the colour you choose — perfect for a family of six, or for keeping a couple of spares ready for guests.

What size are they?

Each placemat measures 40 cm in length and 30 cm in width — sized to comfortably hold a full dinner plate plus a glass and a small bowl on the side.

How do I clean them?

Wipe with a damp cloth after every meal. For stickier spills, a mild soapy cloth works well. Do not soak them in water and let them air-dry flat before stacking.

Are they safe for hot plates?

Yes — the woven bamboo handles the warmth of regular dinner plates, dosa platters, and steel tumblers comfortably. We do not recommend placing very hot cookware (straight from the stove) directly on the mat.

Can I roll them up for storage?

Yes. The flexible woven construction lets each mat roll up neatly, so you can tuck them into a drawer or a cupboard when not in use.
